Story
How it all started
I graduated from Central Michigan University.
With diploma and job applications in hand, I went to find work. All the time thinking “I’m not really cut out for the corporate world.”
So after one interview I ditched the suit and tie, donned a sweatshirt and jeans, walked up to a construction site and asked to be put to work. Shortly after that I started Jast Construction.
That was 35 years ago.
How we grew
I found that I was exceptionally good at taking clients ideas and turning them into reality. Figuring out and executing challenging projects soon became second nature. Today, with thousands of projects completed, Jast Construction has the experience to tackle your projects with ease.

Exceeding expectations
I attribute the success we’ve had to my optimistic attitude toward every one of my projects. Clients have had some very demanding requests, always with me responding… “Yes! We can do that!” We managed to solve every puzzle while leaving a large pool of very satisfied customers in our wake.
It’s our goal to spoil our customers with a level of professionalism, service, quality and efficiency not easily found.

Next Generation of Craftsmen / Craftswomen
I have always enjoyed teaching and welcomed opportunities to mentor young people who have an interest in building, remodeling or woodworking. And much to my delight, my children have taken an interest as well.
It's been wonderful to see them develop an appreciation of the trade and experience the rewards of creating something of beauty and function with their own hands. I'm proud to say Jast Construction has expanded into a true family affair.
